Meet Your Instructor,
Bailey Baker
Bailey Baker has been a professional guitar teacher for most of his adult life. At 25 years old, he is a skilled acoustic and electric guitar instrumentalist. Initially self-taught, he realized that he needed professional instruction to reach a higher level. His proficiency, talent, and passion led his instructor to offer him a job teaching alongside him with a focus on children and young teens, specifically those with special needs such as autism or attentional challenges. Bailey had an infectious enthusiasm that the kids loved and connected with. His biggest advocates were the parents who were not only thrilled by the rapid improvement of their child’s skills but by the joy, enthusiasm, and sense of pride it brought out in their children. Word of mouth spread with parents of children on the autism spectrum or non-neural typical kids and Bailey launched Play Guitar Atlanta to address these needs in the greater Atlanta community. He has expanded to teach people of all ages and abilities.
Bailey teaches both music theory and foundation so that students can begin to learn to play any song or style from Day one. His musical influences draw from all varieties of music styles from rock, blues, country, folk, pop, and R&B. He loves continuously discovering and expanding his musical horizon.

“As a middle school teacher, I understand deeply the philosophy that all learning takes place in the context of relationships. Bailey is the reason our son has gotten so into music, especially playing guitar. Each week our son looks forward to his guitar lessons; it’s his highlight every week. We are grateful that Bailey is in our lives.”
— Seth, Eli’s Father
“I had many guitar teachers before Bailey. He was the first teacher that made music fun. He teaches you about the artists and lets students pick songs that they want to learn”
— Isaac, Current Student
